Pearl River Delta - Adaptation

 

Scenario:

As sea levels rise, the cities will not abandon. Instead, the cities will have been adapting to an aquatic lifestyle over the centuries. We envisage several Venetian cities, towers standing strong and proud out of the water.

It is a slow process of expected evolution for the citizens of the Pearl River Delta, not an abrupt panic.

Strategies: 

1. Exchange of cultural knowledge and new technolgical knowledge. 

​

2. Government shift their subsidies from agriculture to aquaculture. 

​

3. Trade partnership with Mainland agriculture.
