The details are not the details.

They make the design.

About me

My education, working career and even post codes are not conventional. My thought processes, problem solving and design solutions are subsequently equally unique and creative. It is through these rich life experiences, cultural exposure and belief in lifelong learning that I have been able to gain an integral understanding and perspective of urban living and the built environment.

Education has been the tool through which I have been able to travel and enjoy a lifestyle which has given me time to explore and aquire the experience and knowledge to help orientate me for my chosen career path. Living and working in some of the major cities of the world - London, Paris, Dubai and Hong Kong - has made me evaluate the urban environment very differently and critically from within, both academically and through a hands-on, day to day perspective. Worldwide urban development, but especially within Asia, due to increasing population and economic growth, was fascinating to be part of, as it is an opportunity for designers to be more 'human’ with limited space, while integrating a strong cultural heritage with the demands that globalization brings. Studying through a scholarship at the prestigious Hong Kong Polytechnic Design School has given me both practical exposure and a deep understanding of the unique intensity of the physical, social and environmental elements which need to harmonize.

In Auckland, we find ourselved with tremendous opportunities and enormous challenges. Auckland is defending its title as being one of the most liveable cities in the world, while expanding, evolving and intensifying as it adapts from humble beginnings into a world class city and economic hub.

Auckland is my home, and it was very important for me to return from years overseas. I am passionate to be part of the story of Auckland and an integral part of the teams which will implement change and development to this beautiful city. I believe that I can bring an energy, practical and theoretical edge to the continuing evolution of Auckland. I excel at working in teams of diverse backgrounds, be it professionally or culturally. I thrive in creative, sharing environments and I am looking forward to working with a company where my career and knowledge can grow and my work have a positive impact on the everyday Aucklander.
